Pretty Expensive

After being hooked up with a lot of things, this one I believe is the most expensive, most addicting, something which might be for a long time, as this is typically considered every women's fetish: FASHION! Omg! Eversince I got promoted in my job and I've been required to wear corporate attire, I could not stop buying clothes and anything which goes with it.  I was told by my boss to "invest in corporate attire" and I guess I was literally head over heals compliant! Good thing I found boutiques which suits my taste and pocket as well. Thanks Faveshop and Fashbook Closet! Maldita is also on top of my fave! I've learned several things though:

  1. Mix and match clothes to extend wardrobes. Pieces of attires magically multiply and it is as if your wearing a new number for each new combination.
  2. Try to take photos for each combination which may serve as reference next time.  with those photos, you'll never worry what to wear and spend so much time trying on clothes.
  3. Belts and scarves can not only enhance an attire, they can really make a difference and change the overall look, hence the principle of multiplication (see no. 1).
  4. Choose good boutiques which can supply you with what you prefer and what you need.  For those like me who are with limited pocket size, knowing where to have good buys does not only save me pennies but it also save me time.
  5. Online shops are also very convenient especially for someone like me who has no luxury of time to shop.  Check if you can do meet ups so clothes chosen online may be delivered at the office.

So that's it for now! Gotta check FB if there are new arrivals! :-)

It's Been A While

Whoa! Last entry was year 2007, and it's year 2012 now. It's been 5 years! I used to be into scrapbooking when I created this page. I've been hooked up into so many things and I would say that scrapbooking was just a stint. Let's see, before scrapbooking, it was probably cross stitching. I remember I still have with this unfinished project. I would say it's a scene where it includes a house, trees, and children playing. I started the project a day before Jared, my eldest, was born. I was having contractions then without me knowing it! I thought the backaches were due to long hours of stitching but that was it! Anyway, I continued cross stitching but when I went back to school, I never had the time..then more so when I started working. Conclusion is that it's been 16 years and it's still an unfinished project...
Next came scrapbooking. Did I mentioned in my first blog how I came into it? It was probably out of boredom, burnt-out from my previous job. Upon checking my email, I came across this e-group of scrapbooking fan
atics, and although my hands are "uncreative", my eyes knows art and beauty when it sees one. I was fascinated by the colorful layouts of those SB gurus! And since
I've been into photo collection, I've been easily swayed to try scrapbooking. I did try
and that's why this page is here :-) However, several things came my way which put a halt in this newfound hobby. First, I got a new job and it took 1 of my precious day-off. The job itself was pretty demanding and I really could not find time to concentrate with my layouts. Next, the budget. My kids are growing and they needed a lot of things. Guilt was constantly nagging me everytime I buy this fancy sb materials instead of things for my kids. So, I've decided to lay low and used the sb creativity into the traditional photo albums where I won't need fancy papers and bulging materials... I continued buying sb stuff but not as costly as the ones I would be using had it been for real sb layouts.

After a while, Twilight came. It came to me like a hurricane! I was swept off my feet like a giddy teenager. Vampire, wicca, aura, and the likes took a chunk of my time where I spent hours reading, exploring, experimenting... it got me collecting the twilight saga books, then to Anne Rice's, and I even sported an Alice Cullen haircut! Whew, it took me an estimate of almost 2 years before I finally woke up.
When I moved in into to this house in July 2010 (July 11 to be exact), I got dirty with gardening. And now, I have my eyes set on "Country" for our home. Little by little I intend to turn this house and every little thing in it, have a coun
try feel.

There was also a time when I became health conscious.
I found myself running back and forth within the perimeter
of our house, jumping and down while watching and imitating
the taebo video, eating healthy cereals, counting my water intake,
and so on and so forth. But I'm back in my old self now. Eating
without worrying is still more fun :-)

So that's it for now! Whew! I'll have to update this blog once in a while:-)

I Love You!

My second LO features the two most important part of my life----they are my LIFE, anyway.

Jared (11 y/o) and Nayel (4 y/o).

Journal Reads:

"How do I love thee?
Let me count the ways..."
- Elizabeth Barret Browning

When clouds are blue or when it's gray,

When you're in pain or in blissful frame,

When you're most afraid or when you feel strong

And as if you are ready to conquer all,

In laughter and in tears,

With honey or no penny,

I love you!

FLYING WITHOUT WINGS

At last! I finally have ONE (1) LO!!! (yep! u got it right...just 1) But I'm still so happy because after being a member of SE since April 30, 2007, I finally came up with one! I'm pretty excited to post it here, anticipating "criticisms" from scrapbook gurus (negative and/or positive) so I could still hone my techniques...

Anyway, I have learned a lot of things about scrapbooking while doing this LO....

First, this hobby is addictive! (warning!warning!warning!) One must have a lot of self-control to stop thinking about what to put into it, imagining how is it suppossed to look like, what could be done to make it look like this and that.... grabe! Imagine me doing (or should I say "thinking" about this amidst office work! I could be terminated on the spot!). Second and I guess this is still related to #1 having self-control, one must know her priority and stick to it! I felt guilty one time when my daughter wants to play with me but I could not keep my hands-off this project :-( You got to have a separate time just for scrapbooking alone (otherwise since this is addictive, it will take some of your precious time from things that formerly owns that slot!) Third (and another warning!warning!warning!) one must learn to manage her own budget. Just like "time", if budget is not controlled, scrapbooking might take some penny alotted to some other things! Haha! I found myself buying sb materials instead of my usual pasalubong! (nah, actually, nakalimutan ko talaga!) Fourth, amidst all of the above, scrapbooking could take one into a different world-- a world which only requires creativity, no more, no less! It's therapeutic in a sense that it's a nice venue to sublimate... I almost forgot that I'm suppossed to miss my husband who left for abroad just two months ago (he!he!he!)

Journal Reads:

If you only have wings, I knew you would have learn how to fly first before you could even walk… You explore your world with such fleeting gait! Your feet never seemed to touch the ground! You’re always running even for short distances that could “make-do” with just a walk. Just be careful, baby. Promise me you’ll never fall!
